Top speed chart v4 — 90 vehicles, tested lap not top-of-page numbers

Version 4 is up. 90 vehicles, all tested on the same two kilometre stretch of coast road, same driver, three runs each with the slowest discarded.

The headline finding has not changed since v2: the stat bars in the buy menu are close to useless for ranking anything within the same class. Two cars showing identical bars can be four seconds apart over a measured run.

Biggest movers this version are in the mid-tier sports class, where a handful of cars that looked mediocre on paper are genuinely competitive once you account for how they hold speed through the long right-hander.

The amount of work in this is ridiculous and I mean that as a compliment. Been picking cars off this chart for two weeks and it has been right every time.
