App terms of use

Who we are
SixStars is made by an independent developer, named as the seller on its App Store page ("we"). By using the app you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.
Fan-made, not official
SixStars is an independent, fan-made companion for Grand Theft Auto VI. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Game names, logos and images belong to their owners and are used only to identify the game.
Who may use it
You must be at least 18 to use SixStars, the same age the game it covers is rated for (PEGI 18). By using the app you confirm you are 18 or older.
Your account
You can sign in with email, Google or, where offered, Apple. Keep your sign-in to yourself; you are responsible for what is posted from your account. Your handle must not impersonate anyone or be offensive; we may change or remove one that is. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
The chat
The chat has one public room per language, for signed-in members. Be decent: no harassment, hate, threats, spam, sexual content, illegal content, personal information about other people, or advertising. Each room is cleared every day at midnight in its own time zone, and its messages and pictures are deleted. Pictures appear as soon as they are sent, and each account can send only a limited number. A short wait between messages runs on our server. Type /rules in the chat to see the rules; only you see them.
Automatic moderation
Our server checks every message. A message that contains a swear word or slur, or is mostly written in capital letters, is removed for everyone and replaced by a notice from the SixStars bot. The first time in a day is a warning. Each further time that day mutes you, for 10 minutes, then 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, and 12 hours each time after that. The count goes back to zero at midnight UTC. While muted you can read the chat but not post.
No leaked material
Do not post leaked, stolen or pirated material about the game or anyone else, including pictures, video, code or descriptions of it. We remove it and may close the account that posted it.
What you post
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a worldwide, free licence to store, show and copy it inside SixStars for as long as it is there, so the chat can work. Only post what you have the right to share. Your messages, handle, colour and profile picture are visible to other members, and pictures are stored at public web addresses.
Moderation
Anyone signed in can report a message. Moderators review reports and can warn members, delete messages and pictures, mute members for a set time, or ban them from the chat. When they do, the SixStars bot says so in the room, with the reason. Muting or banning also deletes that member's messages and chat pictures. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms, without notice where the breach is serious. We do not watch everything that is posted, and we are not responsible for what other members say.
Last Star
Last Star is optional and sold through Apple: a subscription, yearly or monthly, or Lifetime, paid once. The subscription terms below do not apply to Lifetime. The price and length are shown before you buy and are charged to your Apple ID when you confirm. It renews automatically at the same price and length unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends; your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before that. You can manage and cancel it in your App Store account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Last Star until the end of the period you have paid for.
Lifetime
Lifetime is a one-time, non-consumable, non-renewing purchase tied to your Apple ID: you pay once and keep Last Star for as long as SixStars is offered. Restore Purchases brings it back on another device with the same Apple ID.
Restoring and refunds
Use Restore in the Last Star screen to get a purchase back on a new device with the same Apple ID. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms; ask for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
Ads
The free version shows a small number of ads, marked "Ad", in the news list and the chat. Last Star removes them. Tapping an ad opens the advertiser's website, which is not ours.
Other websites
Links and ads can take you to websites we do not run. Their content and their privacy practices are their own.
The information
The database, news and countdown are compiled from official releases, trailers and the community. They can be incomplete, wrong or out of date, and release dates and prices can change. Check with the official source before you rely on them, especially before buying anything.
No warranty
SixStars is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise it will always work, be error-free or keep any particular feature. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or goodwill, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
Ending
You can stop using SixStars and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or stop offering SixStars, in which case we will say so in the app where we can.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app. Using SixStars after a change means you accept it.
