Underwater mapping — the shelf is bigger than anyone assumed

Did a systematic sweep of the southern shelf, gridded, at a fixed depth, marking every point where the seabed drops away.

The short version is that the playable seabed extends noticeably further than the map's shading implies. Whether there is anything down there is a separate question.
